Our oil is carefully pressed from the seeds of crambe abyssinica, a drought-resistant plant that requires less water to grow. After our oil is pressed the remainder of the plant can be used as animal feed or re-cultivated back into the soil encouraging even more sustainability.
Extraction
Our extraction process is done by pressing the seeds without the use of chemicals. The remainder of the plant, rich in nutrients can be used as animal feed and re-cultivated back into the soil making it completely sustainable.

Extraction
Many popular oils are machine-pressed using heat and chemical solvents. Not only is this less environmentally mindful, but actually reduces the effectiveness of the oil it produces.
Our extraction process is done by cold-pressing the seeds, without the use of heat or chemicals. This retains the beneficial compounds of Abyssinian oil, uses less energy during extraction, and keeps our oil free of harmful preservatives, sulphates, and parabens.
