What The F?

Have you heard about Vitamin F? What is this you ask?

Vitamin F is in fact... fat!

Vitamin F is a blend of essential fatty acids, the majority of which is linoleic acid or Omega-6. Vitamin F is wonderful because it has anti-inflammatory properties, which we all know, inflammation is a key cause of ageing. Skin that lacks vitamin F tends to look dull, dry and can be acne-prone.

In skincare, fat is very important as it is used to maintain a strong, healthy stratum corneum… otherwise known as the protective outer layer. If this layer isn’t performing properly it won’t be able to protect against water loss, pollution, UV light, infections and irritants.

Remember, you are what you eat so increase your consumption of linoleic acid by adding flax seeds, pumpkin seeds and raw sunflower seeds into your diet (try adding them to your salads). Almonds and walnuts also make great snacks! Vitamin F also helps to maintain healthy hair and nails and keeps the skin (all over the body) nourished and smooth, so if you’re suffering from dry legs or elbows, increase your daily intake of Vitamin F.

Crambé Face Forward Rejuvenating Abyssinian Facial Oil is rich in Vitamin F, (essential fatty acid Omega-6). So make sure your skin is looking and feeling it’s best by including Crambé in your daily skincare routine.
